description The largest connected nordic ski area in the country with over 200 km of groomed ski trails. Groomed daily, with scenic and varied terrain for all abilities, from young families to competetive racers. On the East side of the Cascades, the Methow Valley enjoys sunny days and plenty of snow. Ski trails open and groomed December thru mid March, and become bike/hike trails in summer months. The town of Winthrop has new resturants, bookstore, bakery, sports shops, and lodging for all budget types.
